Keeping New Year Resolutions

Don’t give up on your Resolutions! The year is still new and you can do it! Whether it’s losing weight or giving up smoking, there is support for you. Acupuncture is a wonderful support to help you reach your goals this year. The benefits of acupuncture are not just physical but mental, emotional, and for many people, spiritual as well. People report feeling more energy, having improved digestion and sleep, and, most important, people notice more joy in their lives.
If your goal is to lose weight, you are in luck. This is your year! Chinese medicine, acupuncture and herbs, is wonderful for improving digestion which improves metabolism. When the digestion is able to function at full capacity, people feel better and have more energy. Not only will your body have more energy to metabolize, but you will feel more energy to complete the demands of your day. We will discuss diet and food choices as well as complement your lifestyle with Chinese Herbs, which balance the digestion gently and fast. People love using Chinese herbs and having immediate results.
Even if your issue with weight is hormonal, or glandular, Chinese medicine is great. Often symptoms associated with hormone imbalance or gland disfunction, such as thyroid or diabetes, diminish greatly with a few acupuncture treatments. Since 80% of pharmaceutical medicines are based on herbs found and used by indigenous people around the world, there are herbal alternatives for non-emergency conditions treated with medications. In the west we forget this, but if you have health issues and want a non-toxic, safe, natural, and effective approach, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture are perfect for you.
If you resolved to stop smoking this year, You Can! Acupuncture can help. The treatment for this consists of just 5 needles placed in your ear. It helps with the withdrawal symptoms of anxiety, jitteriness, and cravings. In some states, it is court mandated as part of drug rehab/detox programs because it reduces symptoms of withdrawal so well. We suggest 10 sessions, but most people feel they have their smoking habit kicked in half that time. This is the perfect support for you if you know you want to quit, but are avoiding the process of withdrawal. Acupuncture can help you feel good while you quit smoking!
Acupuncture can help with motivation too, so you can meet your goals. No more procrastinating. You can get excited about working out, instead of frustrated you don’t have time for it. You can finish your home project or get a better job. With less anxiety and stress, you can enjoy the things you do and the people in your life. Whatever your resolution, to stop something, or start something, or make changes somewhere in your life, Acupuncture is a great compliment to help you get there.
Focus on your goals this year and schedule your first acupuncture treatment. Enjoy having nurturing support as you succeed with your resolutions this year. Whether you resolved to finish a project, lose weight, stop smoking, or exercise more, acupuncture will help!
